Housing is a pressing issue across the EU, and Eurostat is making sure that you have all the relevant information together in one place.
The new website section on housing statistics brings together the existing data, publications, visualisations and background information on various aspects of housing.
The section is organised around 4 main statistical themes:
- economy and finance;
- population and social conditions;
- businesses;
- environment and energy.
The Eurostat online database provides more than 200 indicators on housing, including housing affordability, environmental impact, businesses active in the construction and housing prices. There are also data that offer insights into the housing market, short term rentals, people’s living conditions, demographic trends, and more.
Stay tuned – Eurostat will continue to focus on housing statistics:
- 2025 edition of the interactive publication Housing in Europe is coming out on 27 November;
- a webinar on housing statistics will take place on 12 December, featuring presentations and a Q&A session with experts;
- a new dashboard with interactive visualisations of housing data will be launched in early 2026.
