According to He Yadong, China firmly opposes the hegemonic actions taken by the United States, which represent a severe violation of international law, an infringement of Venezuela’s sovereignty and a threat to peace and security in Latin America.
“Trade and economic cooperation between China and Venezuela is conducted between sovereign countries, protected by international law and the laws of the two countries, and is not subject to interference from any other country,” He said at a news conference.
He insisted that China has always followed the principles of equal treatment and mutual benefit in conducting economic and trade cooperation with Latin American countries, and never seeks spheres of influence or targets any other party.
