As preparations accelerate for the 2026 Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, which will kick off in less than 100 days, Chinese home appliance maker Haier has recently announced that its water purification systems have been installed in the National Olympic Sports Center in Beijing to support athletes and staff members during training and daily operations.
According to the company, the systems will provide drinking water services in multiple locations, including training venues, dining facilities and office areas, serving athletes, coaches and support personnel.
The deployment came as Haier group’s first-quarter earnings report showed strong growth in its water purification business, with the segment ranked first in China by sales volume and a market share of 21.5 percent.
The performance has been supported by the Chinese manufacturer’s advances in intelligent upgrades and AI-driven innovative growth. Among the latest batch of Global Lighthouse Network facilities the World Economic Forum announced in January, Haier’s connected water purification factory in Qingdao, Shandong province, was selected as the first lighthouse factory in the global water purification industry.
