As AI becomes one of the biggest priorities for global tech companies, smartphone makers are facing a new challenge — how to make AI truly useful in everyday life, rather than just another chatbot. Samsung user experience designer Yongzun Wu keeps this question the center of his work.

At Samsung Design China, Wu believes that the future of AI is not about adding more features, but about making technology feel simpler and more human.

“The best AI experience is when users barely notice the technology itself and simply feel that things become easier,” he said.

Long recognized as one of the world’s most influential consumer technology companies and a global leader in the smartphone industry, Samsung has seen its Galaxy ecosystem and mobile AI strategy being regarded as major benchmarks for next-generation mobile interaction.

Wu served as the primary design lead responsible for defining the interaction framework behind several of Samsung China’s system-level AI initiatives, including Bixby, Now Brief, and Samsung’s systemic Search experience. His work focuses on helping millions of users interact with AI more naturally and efficiently.

“Most users don’t want to learn complicated AI workflows,” he said. “They simply want AI to help them complete tasks quickly and naturally.”
