Over 100 new robotaxis have been added to the operation fleet of Ontime, a transportation service based in Guangzhou, Guangdong province, the company announced on Thursday.
Pony.ai, a Chinese autonomous driving solution provider, delivered the vehicles. They are planned to be part of a commercial mixed-operation service combining human-driven ride-hailing and robotaxi services through the company’s fully open robotaxi operation technology platform.
The additional vehicles mark the first public update to Ontime’s robotaxi business since launching its robotaxi+ strategy early in July 2025.
Ontime and Pony.ai also signed a strategic cooperation agreement on Thursday to jointly develop a robotaxi fleet and collaborate on future operations.
